Is laser beam considered a device that is useful or harmful?
Laser is a master operating at optical frequencies to produce high-energy monochromatic beam of light. Laser is a scientific name which means or which stands for-Light Amplification Stimulated by Emission of Radiation.
A laser (acronym for Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation) is an optical source that emits light in a coherent beam. The back-formed verb lase means "to produce laser light" or "to apply laser light to".[1]
In analogy with optical lasers, a device which produces any particles or electromagnetic radiation in a coherent state is also called a "laser", usually with indication of type of particle as prefix (for example, atom laser.) In most cases, "laser" refers to a source of coherent photons, i.e. light or other electromagnetic radiation.
Laser light is typically near-monochromatic, i.e., consisting of a very small band of wavelengths or a very specific color, and emitted in a narrow beam. This contrasts with common light sources, such as the incandescent light bulb, which emit incoherent photons in almost all directions, usually over a wide spectrum of wavelengths.
Laser action is explained by the theories of quantum mechanics and thermodynamics. Many materials have been found to have the required characteristics to form the laser gain medium needed to power a laser, and these have led to the invention of many types of lasers with different characteristics suitable for different applications.
The laser was proposed as a variation of the maser principle in the late 1950s, and the first laser was demonstrated in July 1960 by Theodore Maiman at Hughes Research Laboratories. Since that time, laser manufacture has become a multi-billion dollar industry, and the laser has found applications in fields including science, the defense industry, medicine, and consumer electronics
Laser beam has many use, it treats any conditions that is now difficult to be treated by ordinary medicine but only lasers can do it in just a short time.
As a student like me\, I don't have much information and knowledge about laser or laser beam all I know that it is a device that treats illness and somehow critical problems. Laser beam is now being used by licensed doctors , nurses , physicians and other professional positions related to medicine a and also related to technologies like laser beam..
laser is very useful in modern life because it is used in different fields such a some medicines, communications, discovering and researching and somehow in inventions,entertainment, industry and it is also seen a s the solution to mans energy. It can provide the world a pollution-free source of energy.
However, it can cause destructions and can be harmful to people and to our country an also to our health. It can be guided directly hit targets like airplanes,shops,buildings, and cities,. In films and movies or productions,it can reduce an enemy into vapor in a split of a second..
So therefore, laser is more useful but lee harmful of people must work and use it carefully to put the benefits of laser into good use. It maybe less harmful if it should not fall into wring hands as it may cause great mass destruction to mankind if it is used wrongly or in a wrong way but not in a proper hands.

Frightened?????

Is it normal for children to feel frightened when a task is to be done for the first time? Have you ever experience a thing that you have only done in the first time? What did you feel about it?
Everyone in this world full of shocking revelations and news, everybody has its own experience that they have done it for the first time in the history of their life. People who experience things for the first time are like the children because they are just growing and developing and therefore has not further knowledge and information about things around them. Also the teenagers where I also belong because e at that stage in a life of a person, teenagers feel to become more mature and they want to be feel free by their parents and there are also many first times experiences done when you are at this stage of adolescence. Especially at live and romances where teenagers began to have crushes and they say that it is normal for a teenager to have this kind of attitude because of the reason that you are growing and developing. Everybody I know for sure that when they do things for thew first time, they would feel nervous and afraid because of some negative predictions they may have when they start the kind of attitude they are going to do. They feel nervous because they never know what may happen to them, they may fail to do such thing and they may put into shame in front of so many people or a special person like a president. You would feel nervous because you would be ion a problem because you it is difficult for you to do it especially when you are alone an no one would help you but it would be a great challenge for you to test your skills and limitations to the things that you have not done yet before since birth. Like most people, they would have a mixture of their feelings that makes their mind in difficulty and would think negatively and in that situation, they maybe on a big trouble and may not be able to concentrate on the things they are going to do . I had an experience (4) four years ago . its when i heard a thunderstorm and did you know what i actually did right away after the thunderstorm and whenever I hear thunderstorms. What I actually did was as usual for me but nothing more to do but to hid behind our table and cover my ear for I'm afraid to hear these things because at that time a person
that is always afraid of something new. After i hid under the table, my cousins and my aunts and my mother were almost crying there because of laughing much about me. They never expected me to react like that for they were just act normal like that they have never heard something scary and that was thunderstorm.
I realized that you need to face your fear because everything is a test, believe in your skills and continue to be stringer enough to overcome challenges in life because it will just make you more stronger and tougher and like what I said definitely cuter!!!!!!!!!!!!

My Life as A Freshie Student

It's just been a few days since I first step in University if the Philippines and here I am now going to finish my first year high school in the school and only few days left for each of us to say goodbye to each other especially to the teachers who are retiring and resigning this year.
I never noticed that tome had passed me that I'm going to be a second year student next school year. I'm happy about it because I have passed and overcome the tests in I'm first year studies but I'm not really that sure because we are still going to have our periodical test and I admit that I'm not yet ready because I'm so busy about the projects for the coming clearance day.. I'm certainly sad because we best friends or the “KALOGZ” group will now be separated when we reach second year an we will not be classmates in the coming school year and maybe somebody for sure in our group would change and may forget our friendship and we hope that it would not happen someday because we trust ourselves and we are also faithful to each other that no matter what happen to us and we may be separated in sections, we are still the pure KALOGZ in UP High School and no other can replace our group forever until we graduate here in UP. One thing I hate is that in this coming closing is that I'm going to be a a second year student but I still want to be a first year student and be one of the youngest student in the school but there's nothing we can do but to face and accept it and face the reality. I'm afraid to be a second year student but I'll try my best to be brave to meet and face again new classmates from the other section. But never mind of what will happen to me and my future when I reach second year. My first years was very wonderful and memorable to me especially the laughter and the sweet moments together with my friends and my dream boy. It was fun everyday because my troop is always their to me keep on smiling and forget problems. Without them, my first year experiences would not happen these happily. I have learned moire things as days passed and i grew more mature and more stronger to face challenges . I realized things that I got more exposed on things I've never been learned before just like the field in computer. With the help of my teachers that taught me and gave me more knowledge and information about these field because without them, I could not have not known how to do things.
I was blessed and thankful that the one who teaches us with the lessons were not that hot tempered and has ling patience to teach us and they have been so kind and caring to us students. Our teachers are not only beautiful and handsome ion the outside or the physical image, but their are also kind-hearted person who always think first the sake of the students because they are not only our teachers that teaches the ;lessons and give long test but they are also the people who inspire u s and gives us courage to overcome problems we encounter and they were there to save us. I'm thankful that ion my life In UP as a freshie students, my teachers have been a part of it that made it happier because pf them, I'm now a little bot disciplined for the reason that they taught us the right things from wrong and they were also good friends to us. That's why all of us are sad when we heard that some of our teachers our going to retire and some would resign like Mme. Gallo, Ms. Maquilan, Mme. and Mr. Nunez, sir Nellas, sir Montano.but wwe can still approach them by having their contact # and their is still a communication and even they are far from us, they still be in our hearts and there to give us their support.
No matter what may happen, I'll try my best to face the reality and overcome this problems like what I did during my years a s s freshie student.

We are living in a highly competitive world. That's why doing research is now important because it contributes to make our life easier, more comfortable and efficient to live and doing some research may also solve problems that have never been done before.
I know that everybody would love to live in peace and in a convenient life. I want to solve problems not only my personal problems but also the problems in the society that affects greatly to people.
As a student, I have many dreams in life especially at my young age. I want these dreams would come true not by fortune and miracles but because of my hard work. I also have a dream that is not only for myself or not only for the people around me that I have known but also that could be benefited by our country, Filipinos and the humankind. I'm thinking on how to solve problems that could be benefited by people by inventing something that would surely help us and would be a great solution to a problem. Invention that has not yet give attention by researchers. I know there are many things needed to be successful on inventing something but it is just my dream and not sure to do it, I'm just dreaming on how to help in our society. I would invent something if I am given an opportunity to do something to help people live more safely and comfortable ad most of all happier. If a great opportunity would be offered to me, I have no doubt no accept it and I'll try my best to invent something that is useful.
There's a riddle which asks, “ What comes with a motorcycle and goes with a motorcycle, yet is of no use to a motorcycle even though the motorcycle cannot run without it?” the answer. “Noise”.
Noise is defined as an unwanted and unpleasant sound or a sound which we hate to hear because some would say that it causes headache. Scientifically, noise is one of the pollution in the environment. The major (4) four pollution that is now a big problem and is difficult to solve are; Land pollution, Water pollution, Air pollution, and Noise pollution. Noise pollution is not familiar to be considered a s on of the major pollution because we never noticed that it is really part of the four. Noise comes from a place where there is crown and it is caused by sound systems, the people who are shouting and etc. if I am given a chance to solve this kind of big problem, I would invent a device that would prevent noise or decreases the noise in a crowded places. A device that collects or sips noise in a crowded places like market. After it collects and sips the noise, the place where it is use will only contain the sound that is good in the hearing of the people. I would call this device not by after me but after its function- the “Powerful Noise Minimizer Device” but I am not sure on how it will work scientifically and how it's parts would function. But with my dram, I would try to improve my learning in these particular field on inventing and more backgrounds about noise to make my dream of inventing these Powerful Noise Minimizer Device be successful someday. With the help of th device, it could decrease the noise inj a crowded places but even though there's not yet scientific explanation and researches done, I'll just try my best to study hard about these and I hope be successful if given an opportunity and I am not saying that it is true, well let's just find out someday, I think 20 years from now because for sure I think we are still alive at that year. I'm just thinking this kind of dream of inventing because all I want is to make people's life especially Filipino's lives more happier to live and could live in a world that is noiseless.

WHY???

WHY?...

Since my mother gave birth to me and my parents took care of me until now, there are so many things thatchanged over my thirteen(13) years of existence. Also happening to me that i hate and I sometimes i want to know why is this happening to me? Why? Do you know why?
They say that is normal for a person especially a growing and developing child to keep on asking about the things they want to know. With their questions, it just shows that they're minds are functioning and is also developing. Some say that with the attitude of the child that keeps on asking things is only shows the curiosity of the kid. They say that curiosity leads to a wider knowledge and it may develop when they grow up and they would give interests on things in advance than any ordinary child. Until now, I still keep on asking about things that i hate so much and have i came up to this situation. Such things that always bothers me like why am I poor instead of living as a rich? Why can't I get the topmost of everything? Why can't I get a perfect score in chapter tests, quizzes, seatworks? Why am I not that kind enough to people especially to my friends not like Chanel? Why do people hate me and always teach and insult me? Why do they gossip about me? Why didn't I gave my best shot when I was in elementary? Why i am always late in classes? Why didn't I performed well in class during the first days in UP as a freshie?why am I always scolded by my mother all the time? Why am I not good to others? Maybe because they hate me. Why am I not good looking like the others? Why do I spent money in the Internet to nonsense things like friendster? Why do I have enemies and why should I love them if they make me mad?
There are many more things that I hate and sometimes I wish that I was born by a famous person and now live in a beautiful hose and studying in a private school but it was must a wish for I also hate to come true. These are the questions that bothers me all the time and I am always begging for answers who is expert enough to provide the right answers for me. I don;t know why it happened to me and why God gave it to me and I don't know for what reasons. Sometimes i always ask to myself that why there are better people then me but I am sure that there are no people who is perfect for God did not made a perfect person. With all of these questions which all started with WHY then with a (?)-question mark, it does reflect my attitude toward myself, to other people and to the things that surrounds me. With all of my questions, it show my attitude of discontentment in my life because there are also things I want to have just because people have it. I also got envy to my classmates because they have different and unique abilities that I don't have but I also believe that there are also things I have that others don't have for every person has its own special ability and skills.
All of these things reflect my attitude and I know that after you read these , you would think that I'm greedy but I'm not, I'm just wondering why things are just like that. I'm not a bad person as what you think because you better know me first before you judge my personality. I admit that I am a person who is discontented of the things but I will try my best to change this kind of attitude and instead of questioning things, I will more be thankful of the things that God has blessed me.

I could live without computer at all but I could never live without my friends who has been good at me and accept me not because of what I have but because of what I am.
I've known so many people in life and of all my experiences with them, I learned some lessons to determine how true friends they are to me. I've found true friends since i was a kid and they were so kind and until now they're still there right behind me. We have so many memorable things together even though we are just kids and since kinder to elementary we have been together except now but still we are just neighborhood and we also go and hang-out. My friends since kinder and elementary were Charisse Carteciano not Charice Pempengco, Karen Baba, Magie and my classmates before in elementary : Gilrose Paray, Rosemarie Tomongha, joemariz Abella and all of my classmates before who have been so kind to me.
I'm now a High School student and I am now more mature. I still remember my first day in UP High School. It was a happy and scary day for me because I was nervous at that time for it was my first time and we all know that if it 's our first time, we always feel nervous because we never know what may happen to us and happy because we are excited to meet new people and make new friends and may have new crushes. I found friends at my first day in UP as a freshie student. We ate together especially at lunch break and we ate at the canteen even though only few of us order foods there. And as weeks and months past, i was then surprised that I have now more friends and we are able to gag out in school. We sometimes go to the internet together, we sometimes copy each other's assignments and sometimes depend on each other. We also share our personal problems and sometimes they give advices that i sometimes follow and sometimes not. My friends and i decided to form a group so we would have more fun and our group is called the “ KALOGZ”. Our group is composed of seven members including myself. My friends that composed our group are; Chanel Anjelex Elmido; Gecelle Chloe Hermogenes; Gizelle Peras; Emme Angelique Generoso; Brigette Marie Angcon and Mayflor Deguit. Of all the six, I am more close to Chanel because she is the one whom I can deal with and like me that is also funny some kind of a “joker” in our group. She is a valedictorian in Zapatera Elementary School and is really an intelligent and caring classmate and as a friend.
Whenever I am in my group, I'm always happy even though problems are bothering me because we all cannot deny that all of us a re happy people. Sometimes, we share our problems especially in Math and other personal problems and they were always there to encourage me to overcome the challenges in life. Everyday we always laugh and we also share our crushes that we also hide by their code names because we are afraid that anybody may know. I can't go outside the classroom without them or any member and we always bond at noontime where some boys join like George , Elmar, Reiner and etc. all of us are afraid because we are about to end our first year high school life but we promise to ourselves that we will always be th only “KALOGZ” in UP High School and no other than any group. Even though we will not see each other during this summer vacation but in the second year, we will still meet and each of us hope that nobody would change for we will still be friends forever.

“Great people come from small beginnings”, goes a saying which actually describes the people who are now successful because of being so hardworking and their determination to be that successful.
Everybody even I want to be successful and be professionals someday because I know that all of us have dreams and we want to be granted not done by others but done by our own sacrifices. People want to reach their dream by striving hard in their studies and also to educate themselves and somehow have fun while they are learning in their school or other institutions which they belong. Educating ourselves is just one of the major ways to be successful and makes a person more educated and more disciplined. Education is a major thing for me that everyone should have and we all know that our government is now trying to give free education, free school supplies and other necessities needed for the underprivileged people or children who can’t afford to buy even their school supplies and can’t afford to pay their tuitions. The Department of Education or the DepEd is assigned to give poor students especially deserving students the true quality of education. In our school, there are scholarships for the deserving students but I was not part of any scholarship group because I admit I don’t really study hard and I don’t know why. Maybe it was just been my habit and I always got disappointed because I always get low scores in tests and I won’t accept it that it’s my fault. With my habit, it’s like I’m wasting my opportunity to learn because I know that there are still people or children need these kind of opportunity but I’m just wasting these and I felt guilty.
Different institutions have different ways of teaching students and some schools like the private schools make their advertisements on encouraging the parents of the students to enroll on their school. On their advertisements, they always say that their school gives quality education but expensive tuitions and they sometimes feature the students who were successful because it graduated in their school. I think public school are better than private schools because the only difference when you are on a public school is that you encounter problems such as the lack supplies of books, rooms and overpopulated students in a room than in a private schools that is in opposite to the situations of the public schools. But the most important is how hardworking and determined the student to study hard even the situation is so complicated coz its in the student to strive hard even there are so many problems bothering and maybe that student gives importance towards education and maybe he/she is thankful that she/he was given an opportunity to go to school to study. We all know that if we graduated with flying colors, we would be proud and happy because all our sacrifices bore good fruits and that is when you finish your studies and you can apply jobs and other positions you like or you may even go to abroad to have your job their.
Education really gives a great impact on students because when you finish your studies, many job opportunities awaits you and if you are not that well educated because you have not finished your studies , you can still be able to apply simple skills that you have learned when you were still studying.
Education gives us the chance to know more things and to make our life more convenient to live. It also gives us knowledge on different fields. It is the way of educating; a theory or a practice on teaching people to know more better about things and we should not take it for granted for it only comes once in a lifetime and you can never have another chance to change your mistakes, so as early as now, give importance to education and never waste it because at the end, yo9u may only have regrets and blame yourself for not performing good while you were studying. Let’s study hard because as what our national hereof said that “the youth are the hope of our country”, so let’s prove to the people that we really are and we are not the trouble makers in our society but the one who solves the problems.

If television is the tool for entertainment, then book is the tool for a wider knowledge.
Everything in this world that surrounds us gives us knowledge. We may not know that by just observing things, we are developing our minds and forming so many questions that lead to our curiosity and we are going to find some ways to know why it happened and how it’s like that. By that simple way, we are learning to educate ourselves and observing is just one way to give us more information about things that we want to know. One way also is the most common to all and that is reading. Through reading, it enhances our reading skills; on how deep our imaginations are; and most of all educates us. Book is the most important thing when we want to learn. It is where we sometimes depend on through reading. Book are found everywhere especially in schools but not to mention that our government has not comply enough books for the public students and I hope someday this problem could be solved. We sometimes want to read book when we want to; as part of our hobby and many reasons. Even though most students now depend on the Internet for their assignments and projects, the most pure source of information are the books.
A great opportunity came when the school decided to let the students come to the ship also known as MV Doulos bringing lots of books. For me it was an opportunity because the books in there are sometimes not available in our library and even though its in bookstores but you cannot read it . In MV Doulos, you are free to read the books and you can even buy it if you have your money. The view was nice and I was well entertained by the people who were in-charge. The people in-charge were nice to us and the others also but they were very strict . I could say that they were very strict because after you have read the books and tour around the ship just where the books were, you may go out but you can never go back again to that place and I think I could say that everything was just for the security of the people in it. I enjoyed reading the books and somehow got afraid because of the mving of the ship even though it was not really moving in the sea. I was afraid that maybe my things would fall and when i was there to watch the sea, I could not take on looking on it because it was really deep because the shpo was so big. Some of the books were expensive and there are aslo the cheap ones like the puzzles; sudoku in a pocket-size books for only 50 pesos but I have not bring my money at that time so I have not able to buy even just the cheap one. Of al the books, i like the best wasthe book where you are going to spy the thing required. What I mean is the book where you are going to find a thing in a page where there are so many things in the page. I was so happy having my tour in MV Doulos with my classmates and friends who are always laughing just to make each of us smile and forget problems. After we have read the books, we went to the exit and never went back to the exit again. Almost of us already went outside and we decided to go down the ship with the advice of our teacher. The most unforgettable thing that happened to me in MV Doulos was when I was taking the ladders up coz i think i have a phobia in the sea coz I was really afraid that I neeed the help of Chanel to hold me and I was taking steps slowly but it was a good experience. The most unforgettable experience also was when we went o the ship for the second time adnd we went to a room where there are many students squating adnd I think having an activity. We went inside and joined them. We watched a film about the history of MV Doulos and there were contests and the representatives from the hies were Paolo Valley; Reiner Siega and in the contest that Reiner joined , he won and we were so proud about that. After all the things we did, we were given some books that served as souveneirs and iI waqs also happy aboutthat at least have something to remember about my experience in MV Doulos.
This is the most enjoyable day I ever had in a ship with a lots of books surrounding you. I think, MV Doulos is the best “book-carrier” because it gives every people and even students a chance to feel free to read books in a shi and this kind of experience is really fun and great and most of all memorable. I was thankful that I was given the opportunity to tour and visit this kind of place with a lots of books. This is a thing I could not frorget for it really helped a lot to students like me because while you are on the ship, you are having fun and somehow learning because you are free to read the books but you don't have the right to destroy it of course. I could now really say that " LEARNING is FUN".

What Do Stars Tell Me About My Life

I wonder how things came to be, such things that goes beyond my imaginations. Like the gift of God, the nature, the trees, animals, the beauty of the sky at night and the stars.I look at the sky at night when I've nothing to do and many things are bothering me inside. As I watch the sky, I sometimes compare things that is in reality. Like the sky, its like it tells the whole of my life where worst things and sometimes most memorable things happen. I found happiness in life and somehow struggles about problems just as what is happening in the sky. When there is a typhoon and th8nderstorms is coming , there would be a great damage on the beauty of the sky same as in my life, when problems come, I'm going to be almost crazy thinking on how could it be solve and sometimes I could hardly give up but I'm thankful that i could still overcome those things until now. There are also times that I 'm, happy about things that happened to me and to the people who always me keep on smiling and laughing and I'm referring it to my friends who have been faithful and funny to me. My life is just like o0n what is happening in my life, when the storms came, i began to struggle all the time but when the sky looks brightly with the stars all around, I am then having then a beautiful day full of laughter. But for me , stars are my friends. If stars gave light in the night sky same as my friends they make my life more bright and fun! My friends are always shining their to support me in everything that I do especially in deciding serious things. Stars are just like my friends who give me hope in reaching my dreams and support me emotionally when i have problems that could not be solve by myself. Through them, I'm now tougher, more stronger and definitely cuter just like my ultimate crush, RAYVER CRUZ. My friends shine brightly same as the stars because they always gave me advise when I needed so and they make me realize about the things that are wrong and teaches me what is the right thing. They also make me realize that there is no person in this world has no problem. Together with them, I would always laugh and made me feel that they are just behind me to help you not just in problems but also in how to laugh and to carry a joke. They are the stars in my life because they tell me the right and the wrong. They tell me that life is so short so drink all you can instead of live life to the fullest because they always say that I'm always dying for water every time we are together with my group, also known as “KALOGZ” which composed of seven members which I also belong and what I treated the stars of my life. These stars of my life are also members of the “KALOGZ” group namely Chanel, my bestfriend and to whom I always tell my secrets; Mayflor, the one who is very noisy but also fun; Gizelle,my friend who is so funny especially we go home and we sometimes go to the Internet together. Chloe, the brightest of all and the cute one; Brigette, my friend who can also be trusted and is so kind and helpful; Emme, who always talk about her crush every time we ate at lunch and Naressa, the one who had a crush on Rayver Cruz. I am also part of the BOANG group which stands for beautiful, Outstanding, Angelic, Nice and Gorgeous which Queenie, Dan, Danica, Leejee belong which are also parts of being the stars of my life because they make my life so bight. Without these people, I could never enjoy my life here in UP and would not strive hard to study.
Friends are my treasures that could not be replace by anything else. Stars in my life are my friends that always lead me to the bright way and are always good influence. They serve as the light in my life like the stars who gives light in the night sky. They gave beauty in my life and so as the stars in the sky. They make me realize that even though time may pass and they may also end their life just like the stars, they would always remain in my heart even though they have faded away but still always been a great gift from God and thankful for having them. And I never hope that time would come that each of us would say goodbye but let us just be happy and live life to the fullest.

They say “Learning is Fun” but if I were to ask, I could say yes and I could say no. I could say yes because while you are learning, you are able to meet different people and make new friends and I could say no because it too hard especially in projects, assignments and other requirements needed. But no matter what it is and how hard it is, we always cannot deny that through learning, a brighter future awaits for us.

The (UPHS) or the University of the Philippines High School celebrated the teacher’s day in not just ordinary activities. The school celebrated the day for our teacher’s through a program called (KYSD) or also known as Know Your School Day. It is a program made by students, teachers, faculty members or our dear teachers. It is a program where a certain faculty member or a teacher will have his/her rest day by the help of the students. This is a program where students serve as teacher or a faculty member o any other positions. Student here also serves as applicant coz’ before they could replace a certain position, they need to undergo first on an interview. Students are only required to apply 2 desired subjects and only 1 position as a faculty member. Through this activity, students are practiced and exposed on how to apply a job someday. They are practiced on speaking through the interview especially in teaching in front of students and other kills that are applied.
Even though, I have not applied any positions and have not experienced in teaching and somehow got disappointed, at least I have experienced being taught by a teacher who is actually is also a student or in short as student teacher. I could really make a big difference on being taught by a professional teacher and just a student. Being taught by a student is fun. It’s because you ar4e free to speak to everyone your opinion, you have this kind of freedom because we all know that our teacher is just our classmate. Even though our student teachers have not master the subjects unlike the teachers, they still try to make us understand about the topic. As our students tries to explain the lesson, we understand more the topic in a simple way because they taught us in a way where we understand more just like them when they study. We probably have the same opinions and understandings because we are of the same age. They used techniques that somehow we do in studying. It is fun because the teacher can do anything especially when we requested an activity like playing. But being also taught by a student is also difficult coz’ you cannot understand further the lesson because the student are so noisy because they have the freedom to speak. I somehow do not want to listen to the teacher because everybody is noisy and it seems that as the student teacher is having his/her lessons, nobody is listening. The student teacher could not discipline the students who are noisy because e they are just afraid ( not to mention any). But being taught by a student is a great experienced of both student and the teacher because we a re skilled into different field and we realized each other’s potential in teaching and listening and learning a lot from this great experience. Even though there is a big difference in between a professional teacher and just an ordinary student, I was still happy because they did the great job.
I can say that “Learning is more Fun” especially when an experience in bei9ng taught by a students happens coz no matter how hard it is, I knew that being a teacher is more difficult and challenging than just being a student.
When the program KYD ended, the student teachers received certificates but for myself, being taught by a student was the best moment I ever had with my classmates.

Television has been a tool for entertainment. In televisions, TV networks are now in battle competing for the rank through basing their ratings of their shows especially shows at night.
Nowadays, we see some dramas- comedy, action or love it may be where Filipinos are so addicted. Especially novellas from foreign or dramas not from Philippines . I’m referring to the Koreanovelas, where most of the Filipino teenager are so fanatic. These Koreanovelas got the public’s attention when a Taiwanovela (actually really not a Koreanovela) Meteor Garden started and caught the people’s fanaticism to them. From then on, people has stated in requesting to TV networks to show some shows from other countries or Taiwanovelas and Koreanovelas. From that , Koreanovelas are famous and start to rise in Philippine television. Almost all TV networks have Koreanovelas cause as I can say they are really superb, excellent and sweet because they make a big difference from our own dramas. Some of the best Koreanovelas that I have seen were:

I asked my fellow classmates why do they love watching “Princess Hours” even its time slot is too late. Some said “Nakakakilig” and others would say “Gwapo si Troy” (Troy is handsome). But I do only watched “Princess Hours” sometimes because it gives me eyebugs. I prefer watching it in youtube when I have a free time. Koreanovela is a great show for the Filipinos. Some would say that if they don’t get to watch this show they would have a bad day but its their decision.
Even though, Koreanovelas are developing Filipino dramas are still worth to have their duty to entertain people. Filipino dramas or also known as “Telenovelas” are still working good and somehow trying to compete with other developing Koreanovelas. The good actors and actresses are still entertaining people and there are newly born stars that came from some “artista search” program of different networks. The newly born stars are the new generation fof the entertainment. Some telenovelas that Filipinos are still supporting are:

Maging Sino Ka Man
Asian Treasure
Atlantika
Bakekang
And many others. There are also separate show for the teens such as Star Magic presents ‘All About Your Love” and “Love Spell”. These are some of the telenovelas featured in televisions that still promote Philippine culture.
What do you prefer, Koreanovelas or our own telenovelas. What do you think is more worth to entertain people?
I do love Koreanovelas as well as telenovelas because they both entertain people and make us fall in love with their dramatic scenes and stories. Without them, our everyday life would not be happy as it can be. If we side to the Koreanovelas, it has a good story , good comedy and dramatic scenes but it never features Philippine culture but the culture of Korea. In telenovelas, best actors were gathered and used to act and entertain people using their talent and skills. It features and promotes Philippine culture but sometimes others would say that the actors and actresses are over acting or ”oa” but they are not they are just trying to go on their character to the movie for the people to be entertained.
Well then for me it is not good to watch others shows or Koreanovelas as well as our own telenovelas. It is not bad to watch and support both but just never let your self be crazy about it cause it just shows fanaticism. And Madam. Logarta said that fanaticism means weaknesses of the people.
So let’s be grateful to have these kind of shows, a telenovela or a korenaovela it may be but just remember that they are the one who serves us through entertaining and do not let ourselves serve them because they are not our master. Both never needed any competition for entertaining because the showbiz industry is more fun without any competition!!

PREPARATIONS

There were many preparations to make the ASEAN Summit successful and for the Cebu to be a good host. Some of these preparations occur well and some were bad.
They have spent the money at a total cost of 1 billion pesos just to make the ASEAN Summit successful and fruitful for the country. After the ASEAN Summit, what have we got? Fame and publicity. Did it help the poor Cebuanos?
Even though we had some accomplishments that we achieved with the cooperation of the delegates and leaders of the different countries who participated. Some of these were:
ü Expansion of air-linkages in the BIMP-Eaga region with the signing of the 4 countries Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines
ü “common and simplified” rules for the “customs-immigration-quarantine-security” (CIQS) processes for faster and easier movements of goods across borders
ü come up to get risk of the bird flu
ü a conclusion statement had an agreement on counter-terrorism and the protection of migration workers
ü Eminent Persons Group (EPG) pushed peace, stability in religion, but suggests only “active strengthening of democratic values”
ü Charter for an integrated regional bloc similar to the European Union
ü The proposal of showcase of Cebu’s furniture by the Cebuanos designer, Kenneth Cobonpue
ü Meeting about the nuke test (South Korea)
ü Open trading with other countries especially China
There were really many accomplishments after the ASEAN Summit was held in Cebu. But behind all these, was the spending of money not right. For building the (CICC) Cebu International Convention Center spent to be about 515 million pesos; for the spending of the decorative lampposts along the streets that said to be estimated 95 thousand pesos each; the buying of the 25 innova cars for 25 million pesos mobile cars and the armed guns for the SWAT team and other security forces; the spending for the surveillance cameras and the payment for the hotel accommodation for the foods of the delegates of the countries and the media that is thought to be about 800 thousand pesos. Imagine that spending of money that was said to be gotten from the Calamity Fund and for the decorative lampposts were from the (DPWH) Department of Public Works and Highways. And for all of these, its total cost is said to be about 1 billion pesos. Was the money went to the right hand in spending or they just estimat4ed it and the extra ones went to the government officials’ private pockets. That sis why commentators and poor people has always said that the government official were the ones who benefited most.
Behind these, did it help us, the Cebuanos? No, it did not especially poor people. The situation became more complicated, the poor Cebuanos became poorer while the rich became richer. Major of the population of Cebu mainly composed of poor people while the rich people can now be counted and some of these rich people are the government officials or their family in Cebu. I don’t know why government officials are taking responsibility but somehow wants to enrich them. They take the responsibility for his own good and not for the people’s benefits. And with that some officials take some opportunities to campaign especially now that election is coming. Speaking of politics, politicians are now starting to have their own campaign through posting posters with their face and name, through having a meeting with the poor and promising to have a good country and some go to advertising with products or a companion of showbiz stars. Still related to the ASEAN Summit, there was once a politician who started his or her campaign through climbing and painting the roofs of the squatters’ area. See, how hardworking they are if they are still not in position. What wo0uld ever be the purpose for that? Just simply having campaign. But let me ask, why did the government decided to paint the roofs of the squatters’ area. That is one I do not liked during the preparation of the ASEAN Summit. It just showed that they are ashamed to show the true situation that’s happening in our country. It also just their fault because it shows that the government isn’t serving the people very well or does not care about it. It does not give the right to the people. One controversial news about the preparation is about the government’s decision of throwing of street people to Buhisan where nobody could find them. How could they do that to our fellow Cebuanos, they don’t have the right to do that so.
Just imagine how expensive, how pitiful, how graceful the preparation of the ASEAN Summit was. But the ASEAN Summit preparation was good for the ones who benefited it and worst for the who is suffering we especially the poor people. If there would be another occasion again that is to be held in Cebu, will the government still do the things they have done and let them do what should be or go in protest or against for that thing again for everything is enough?. For the spending of 1 billion pesos is more than just enough. Just think of it!

Hello! This is my first entry and I had a great day reading stories. I want to share to you some of it. The book was entitled "The Early Bird Catches the Worm but The Second Mouse gets the Cheese"written by Francis J. Kong, a famous motivational speaker and author. There were many selections and i want to share it with one by one.
The story is entitled "Those Silly Magazines Advice".This talks about a couple.
There lived a beatiful woman named Nash with her honest boyfriend named Gens.They have been together for about 3 years and finally decided to marry. In their marriage the woman was happy as well as the man.Nash was on her beautiful gown with her partner Gens wearing his best suit. In their marriage you can really see their true love .
As years passed by they were still known as a happy couple.One day, the wife read a magazines that talks about on the ways to strengthen their relationship as a couple and to live happier."I've read a magazine that we should list the things that we do not in each of our attitudes to strengthen our relationship",said the wife "we will give ourselves three days to have our lists ompleted", added the wife. Gens , her husband agreed without saying a word at all. After the agreement, they seperated into their rooms and started making their lists.
Threee days passed and they went to the kjitchen to tell what they have listed in three days.The wife went out of her room bringing a long list that is almost about three pages while Gens, her husband has not showed any list but all but the wife told what is on her list while they were sitted. It took almost half an hour for Nash to finish telling her lists.And as the wife was still telling, tears fall into the eyes of Gens and Nash finished everything listded on her lists.It was Gens time to tell but he only simply said "I do not have my list because I like you just the way you are as my wife.Nothing is need to be change from you because I have always love you not because of what you have but because of what you are ". Nash was touched because of what Gens have said that shows his true love and being honest to her. They both embrace together with tears in their eyes and easily wipe each others tears.
From now on, the wife have learned lesson that you not nedd to follow some magazine or any silly advices to strengthten your relationship to your loved ones . It is in you who can make it strong and to become faithful to each other. that is the end . and I hope you were touched by this story cause I was touched and I hope you learned some lesson in this love and heartwarming story.
